LAWRENCEBURG — The Jennings County High School boys track and field squad won a four-team meet held at Lawrenceburg High School on April 16.

Lawrenceburg placed second, with Switzerland County third and Rising Sun High fourth.

First-place finishers for the Panthers included Blaine Ison (100-meter dash), Lain Ernstes (1600-meter run), Dawson Leak (400-meter dash), Kraedyn Young (800-meter run), Jo Hifo (200-meter dash) and Max Rodriguez (3200-meter run).

All three of the Jennings County relay teams — the 400-meter relay, the 1600-meter relay and the 3200-meter relay — placed first. Braun, Young, Jo Hifo were all a part of two of those winning relay teams.

The Lady Panthers placed second, finishing behind Lawrenceburg and ahead of third-place Switzerland County and fourth-place Rising Sun.

Jennings County High’s Trinity Burke placed first in the 110-meter hurdles, and teammates Haley Vogel and Isla Stevens placed first in the 1600-meter run and 800-meter run, respectively. The Lady Panther 400-meter relay team of Kennedy Woods, Rachale Manning, Aylah Belding and Ilene Hifo was also victorious.

200-meter dash: Jo Hifo, first place; Dawson Leak, second place

1600-meter relay: Jo Hifo, Branden Braun, Kraedyn Young, Dawson Leak, first place

High jump: Logan Hifo, second place; Jackson Earl, fifth place

The Jennings County boys ninth and 10th-grade track and field athletes placed sixth at the Ted Fox Freshman/Sophomore Invitational, which was held at Bedford North Lawrence High School on April 18.

3200-meter relay: Eric Valdovinos, Jace Phillips, David Dixon, Logan Caldwell, fourth place

110-meter hurdles: Keegan Wheeler, seventh

100-meter dash: Brandan McCory, fifth

1600-meter run: Jace Vojkufka, seventh

300-meter hurdles: Sam Hernandez, third

3200-meter run: Max Rodriguez, fourth

1600-meter relay: Alex Cook, Logan Caldwell, D.J. Jayne, Sam Hernandez, sixth

Pole vault: Nolan Sochacki, fifth; Zach Barton, seventh

Shot put: Rhett Burkman, seventh.
